About End Nicotine
How much is a pack of cigarettes?
In 2021, the average cost of cigarettes is $6.96. That works up to $209 per month or more than $2,500 per year for one pack of cigarettes each day. New York is the most costly state, with a pack costing an average of $12.85. This is just one of the reasons to quit smoking.
Cigarette prices on a larger scale.
Cigarettes prices can add up. The average smoker can spend over $100,000 in their lifetime, while a heavy smoker can spend $200,000 or more on cigarettes throughout their lifetime. E-cigarettes and vaping are also not inexpensive. It is worthwhile to stop the habit!

How it Works
You will be seen by Alec Vinsant, a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who also completed training as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist with Mayo Clinic.
- You can schedule an appointment with End Nicotine by going to the Patient Center on this website at https://endnicotine.com/patient-center/. You are welcome to schedule a free 10-minute consultation prior to booking a patient visit if you would like to ask questions and see if End Nicotine would be a good fit for your treatment goals. If you would like to schedule a free consultation, please book this through the online scheduler found on the Patient Center page.
- After booking an appointment you will receive 3 emails. The first email is a confirmation of your appointment day and time and also contains a link to complete a pre-screening form and create an account with Spruce. Click on the pre-screening link and complete the screening form prior to your first appointment (not required if scheduled for a free consultation). Click the link to create a Spruce account (more on this below). The second email you receive will contain a link to create a Patient Portal account in the electronic health records system (EHR). This will need to be done in order to complete your consent forms, pay bills, and access your medial records. The third email will ask you to complete consent forms prior to your appointment. It will show which consents are due and how to find them. There will be 2 forms in your Patient Portal that need to be completed prior to your first appointment. A reminder will be sent out 24 hours prior to your appointment time to remind you to complete the required forms. If you have any trouble, you can reach out by submitting an inquiry on the contact form at the bottom of this page.
- Download the Spruce app by going to the Patient Center on this website or by clicking here https://spruce.care/endnicotine. A link to download the app will also be sent out in an email after you make an appointment. The Spruce app is what End Nicotine uses to conduct video calls for your appointments and conduct HIPAA compliant texting.
- On the day of your appointment, End Nicotine will initiate the video call at your scheduled time. Be ready at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time. We will conduct the video call through the Spruce app. Please have it open on your phone or computer, whichever you prefer.
- To schedule a follow-up visit, go back to https://endnicotine.com/patient-center/and schedule your next appointment through the appointment scheduler. Consent forms only need to be completed once every 12 months. You will not need to complete them again for your follow-up appointment unless 1 year has passed.
- Weekly check-ins will be made through the Spruce App to follow up on your progress. You are able to message us with questions, concerns, or if you are struggling with possible relapse. End Nicotine is available through the Spruce app from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday-Friday central time.
