Alec noticed early in his career that a deficit existed in focused therapy and counseling for those with a nicotine addiction. Alec completed the Mayo Clinic Tobacco Treatment Specialist program to supplement his experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in order to offer excellent care to individuals seeking nicotine addiction counseling and treatment. In 2021, Alec introduced End Nicotine, an online tobacco cessation program, intended to assist people in overcoming their addiction to nicotine and enhance their overall health and well-being in a cost-effective manner.

Alec and his wife love hiking, traveling, and tasting cuisine from all around the nation and the globe when he is not visiting patients. Alec is an animal lover, a rock hound, and a musician.

About End Nicotine

How much is a pack of cigarettes?

In 2021, the average cost of cigarettes is $6.96. That works up to $209 per month or more than $2,500 per year for one pack of cigarettes each day. New York is the most costly state, with a pack costing an average of $12.85. This is just one of the reasons to quit smoking.

Cigarette prices on a larger scale.

Cigarettes prices can add up. The average smoker can spend over $100,000 in their lifetime, while a heavy smoker can spend $200,000 or more on cigarettes throughout their lifetime. E-cigarettes and vaping are also not inexpensive. It is worthwhile to stop the habit!

The tobacco epidemic

Tobacco use was responsible for 500,000 fatalities in the United States in 2020 and almost 6 million deaths globally. Tobacco-related fatalities are expected to total 520 million globally during the next 100 years (1950-2050). Not to mention the harm that secondhand exposure to tobacco related products can have on family and friends.

The cost of smoking: Life expectancy

A smoker shortens their life by ten years, and almost two out of three smokers will die from tobacco-related illnesses if they do not seek help. Quitting smoking may help you live longer, have a better quality of life, and prevent disability from smoking related diseases. Because of the increased risk of severe problems and death, COVID-19 represents a new danger to smokers. Quitting smoking can help to improve your chances of recovery from the COVID-19 virus.

Young smokers

Teens and young adults have started smoking more now than in prior years, owing to the recent growth of e-cigarettes and vaping. As a result, future generations are at a higher risk of developing chronic illnesses and early death as a result of smoking. E-cigarettes and vaping devices have been linked to an increase in the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer. Nicotine is a stimulant that clearly has a significant effect on public health.

What is End Nicotine?

End Nicotine is an online tobacco cessation program for adults ages 18 to 64 that accepts cash payment. All encounters are carried out using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. We treat nicotine addiction in all of its forms, whether you smoke cigarettes, use vaping devices, chew smokeless tobacco, or use nicotine products such as nicotine gum.

To offer health and well-being for our patients, we adopt a holistic approach. The first appointment entails assessing your degree of nicotine dependency as well as other variables that contribute to nicotine usage. We collaborate to develop a care plan and identify obstacles to stopping your nicotine addiction. Blood testing is ordered at the first appointment to screen for smoking-related diseases, and the findings are examined during the second session. Medications to quit smoking are given in accordance with the treatment plan in order to enhance your chances of success.

HIPAA-compliant phone messaging offers you assistance throughout the treatment process, including check-ins to help avoid relapse. Age and risk-related diagnostic tests are discussed so that you do not slip through the healthcare system's gaps. We aim to make it easier for you to stop using smoking-related products indefinitely such as nicotine gum, nicotine patch, nicotine lozenge and a nicotine inhaler. We also show you how to quit vaping and avoid the consequences of chronic illnesses caused by smoking.

Why Use End Nicotine?

It is not simple to overcome nicotine addiction, but you can do it! You will need someone to listen to you, advise you, and encourage you during the remission process. End Nicotine is a smoking cessation program that can work with you to achieve your goals. We can offer more time-focused, quality treatment since we are a cash-pay practice, as opposed to a conventional office, which may make you feel hurried and unsupported. We are not like other internet “quit smoking hot-lines.” We provide smoking cessation, medication management, and a greater degree of care. Our emphasis is on the entire individual, not simply the cessation of tobacco-related products. We examine how tobacco products have impacted your body and discuss smoking-related problems.

Not everyone will be able to quit vaping or smoking. To reclaim control of your health, you must be determined and ready to work hard. However, having the proper resources may help you overcome your nicotine addiction and eventually you can say that you are a former smoker.

End Nicotine is here to assist you in reaching your goals!
